Is it possible to read/write BMW MS43/MS42 with Galletto 1260 clone ECU tuning cable? Here is the little tutorial which our customer shared.
Read and write BMW E46 MS43 ECU for Euro 2 software:
First of all, get a Galletto 1260 cable clone with the extra adapter
Here is a close-up of the 2 connectors. The white 2 pin connector has “L” and “K” pin identifiers and the black 2 pin connector, “+” and “-” which should be power and ground.
How to use the Galletto v1260 ECU flasher to read/write full flash from MS43/MS42?
- First, you need to remove ECU from car.
- Turn off 4 torx bolts from case and extract mainboad.
- Locate 104 boot pin
4.Short boot pin to GND
5.Put “+12V” and “-” to your black (2 pins) socket connected to Galletto cable
6.Connect K-line from white (2pins) socket to ECU
7.Connect power to ECU
Note: If you use the K-line pin.
1) L-line no need
2) 12V and GND is direct power source to black (2pin) and to ECU (4/7 and 26)
After 6 Seconds (from power connected) remove wire between 104pin and GND.
That’s all. ECU now in bootmode and you can “connect”
Test result:
Successfully read and write MS42/MS43 full flash in bootmode with Galletto v1260 clone and JMGerageFlasher software.
