Solution:

  • Ensure all vehicle doors are closed.
  • Lock the doors using the remote key fob.
  • Wait for the dashboard to power down completely.
  • Unlock the doors using the remote key fob.
  • Proceed with the writing procedure without performing an ID reset.
  • Important:Keep all doors closed throughout the entire process.

Autotuner Tool can encounter issues with this ECU, even when using boot mode. Similar problems have been reported with CMD Flash and Xhorse Multi Prog, often related to checksum errors.

For this task, using the Flex tool is recommended. It operates using a full OBD protocol, allowing you to retrieve the password, internal EEPROM, and internal flash data directly, making the process more straightforward.

Prerequisites for using Flex:

  • A stable internet connection.
  • A Flex V2 device.
  • Ensure the vehicle’s interior temperature is below 30°C.
  • A stable power supply is critical. Low voltage can damage ECUs, especially after the Flex patching process.

Alternative Method & Important Notes:

  • Boot Mode: The SID310 ECU cannot be worked on via the bench alone; the options are either Boot mode or Full OBD.
  • Success Reports: Some users have successfully completed the process with both devices using full OBD.
  • Risk Warning: There is a known risk of bricking the ECU when applying a patch in full OBD mode.
  • Magic Motorsport FLEXSupport: Flex offers excellent technical support. If the tool interrupts a file write and blocks the ECU, contact their support team for assistance. As a precaution, it is advisable to first perform a read in boot mode if you initially read the ECU via full OBD.

Recommended Best Practice:

The most reliable method is to read the data via OBD but perform the writing process in boot mode. This approach helps minimize the risk of complications.
