Yanhua has introduced a free ACDP upgrade that clears the anti-theft alarm state on supported new JLR vehicles, offering a way to restore OBD communication when an activated alarm interrupts an all-keys-lost service procedure.
One of the challenges during certain new JLR all-keys-lost jobs occurs after the door is opened with a lock-opening tool. The vehicle may enter an alarm state, and OBD communication may then become unavailable. Until that communication issue is resolved, technicians cannot continue with normal diagnostic and programming workflows.
The new ACDP function focuses specifically on this obstacle. Rather than treating alarm clearing as part of a general key programming process, it provides a dedicated “Turn off anti-theft alarm” option. Once the alarm state is cleared, OBD communication can resume, enabling the relevant RFA module or RFA chip replacement work required for key programming.
Equipment and Setup
The function works with Yanhua ACDP-1 and ACDP–2, but it is not available without the required authorization. Users need:
- ACDP Module 24 authorization
- A PCAN, PTCU, or PECU cable
These cables are already included with specific Mini ACDP Modules. Please check whether you own the corresponding module before purchasing them separately. If not, these cables can be purchased individually from UOBDII.COM.
- PCAN Cable– Included with Yanhua Module 3
- PECU Cable– Included with Yanhua Module 18
- PTCU Cable– Included with Yanhua Module 19 or Yanhua Module 36
Access to the vehicle’s RFA module
The illustrated setup does not require soldering.
It also does not require the RFA connector to be removed.
Instead, two CAN connections are made while the connector remains in place:
- White CAN_H wire to PIN 2
- Green CAN_L wire to PIN 20
