VAG Group Bosch MDG1 with Korhex

Magic Motorsport Flex version 8.27.0.0 expands Korhex support to selected VAG Group Bosch MDG1 ECUs equipped with TC298 and TC299 processors. The update introduces an additional unlocking method for technicians working on supported Audi, Volkswagen, Cupra, Lamborghini and other VAG applications.

Unlock with Korhex, Then Program in Bench Mode

Previously supported through VFI — Voltage Fault Injection technology, these Bosch MDG1 control units can now also be unlocked using Flex and Korhex via Boot Glitch.

The Korhex procedure reduces intervention time and avoids working directly on the ECU’s PCB. Once the unlock is complete, technicians can continue with read and write operations in Bench mode using Flex, simplifying the programming workflow.

Newly Supported ECUs

Available Operations and Working Times

The new protocol provides the following memory operations for supported control units:

  • Internal Flash: Read, write and checksum correction
  • Internal EEPROM: Read and write
  • Full Backup
