Yes it do, with vvdi2 i have program a key for AUDI Q5 2015 everything ok, car is starting but remote doesnt work
Then you have a fault in the vehicle, or a bad fob. Or the wrong fob. There are prox and slot versions. They have different fcc. They will still program the chip portion and allow the vehicle to start however.
it was a slot smart key.. but the Fcc are not the same.. maybe thats why remote didnt open/close
But It will program fine. 2015 q5 should be slot or comfort access bcm2 prox. It programs the remote and key at the same time. If you have an existing key read bcm data, prepare dealer key then do key learn. 5 minute job. It’s under immob 5 sub menu

It all depends on the software of the bcm some will say yes and some will no, those who will say yes they came across an old version of bcm which is not updated by company, those who said no they came across a newer version of flash which is not supported by vvdi2 . So long story short its not about the device its about the software in the car. Its a 50/50 chance
