Step-by-Step Boot Unlock Process

1.Check Wiring Diagram

Run EngineDance X5 Software

Navigate to Advanced Functions -> ECU FLASH -> Bosch Bench Mode (ECU) -> Bosch MD1xxx [After 2020 locked] -> BOOT GLITCH-MD1CS012 [After 2020.06-Locked]

Follow the wiring diagram to connect device and ECU correctly as follows.

2.Open the ECU:

Carefully open the ECU enclosure to access the PCB.

3.Remove the Resistor:

Locate the designated resistor on the board using the software guide and remove it.

4.Identify Boot Points:

Find the specific boot point on the PCB.

5.Hardware Hookup:

Connect your EngineDance X5 to Boot Glitch Adapter, link the adapter pin to point E1, and attach the Jumper Box to the ECU connector.

6.Establish Connection:

Allow EngineDance X5 ECU Tool up to 5 minutes to negotiate communication with the ECU.

7.Execute Unlock:

Reading and Writing Data:

Once unlocked, you can read and back up the original Flash and EEPROM data directly in boot mode. If you prefer bench mode operation, simply restore the ECU to its original physical state (resolder components and close the case), then perform read and write tasks without opening it again.
