CG100X Correct Mileage for 2023 Toyota R7F701441 Cluster

CGDI CG100X Programmer now supports mileage correction for Toyota clusters that feature the R7F701441 MCU processor. Ensure the software is updated to V1.7.0.0 or above. Below is a step-by-step guide for 2023 Toyota Frontlander mileage correction by CG100X.

Which Toyota models are supported by CGDI CG100X?

The following Toyota models equipped with the R7F701441 processor are supported:

  • Toyota BZ4/BX4
  • Toyota Platinum 4X
  • Toyota Frontlander
  • Toyota Corolla
  • Toyota Levin

Step-by-Step Guide to Mileage Correction

  1. Remove and disassemble the cluster

Remove the instrument cluster from the vehicle and carefully disassemble it to access the R7F701441 processor.

  1. Prepare the cluster for correction
Follow the wiring diagramin the CG100X software to power on the instrument cluster.

The mileage will initially display as 0 km because it’s a brand-new cluster.

  1. Select thecorrespondingmodel

In the CG100X software
Navigate to Dashboard>> Toyota>> Frontlander>> R7F701441

  1. Viewthe wiring diagram
The processinvolves removing 4 capacitors (280nF) from the cluster. Follow the wiring diagram for the exact locations.

  1. Connect CG100Xand Cluster

Connect CGDI CG100X and the cluster using the D1 Adapter (required for the RH850 processor reading)

Do not extend the D1 adapter cable

Make sure the 12V power supply is connected to power the cluster during the process.

  1. Read chip ID
After connection, read the chip ID to verify the processor.
  2. Read and save data
Read Dflash and Pflash dataseparatelyfrom the processor, and save the corresponding data

  1. Calculate mileage by the built-in algorithms
TheCG100Xprogrammer comes with built-in algorithms tailored for the R7F701441 processor. Make sure your device is connected to the internet so that these algorithms can calculate the actual mileage online.
  2. Verify the current mileage
Check the current mileage displayed on the cluster and verify it.
  3. Input the new mileage
    Inputthe newmileage you desire.

For example, enter the mileage value 35554 (KM)

Then click “OK”

  1. Write the new mileage data

The new mileage data will be written to the cluster by CGDI CG100X.
Wait a while until the process is complete

  1. Reassemble the Cluster
After the new mileage is written, disconnect the wires and solder the 4 capacitors back onto the cluster
  2. Verify the New Mileage
Power on the cluster and check if the mileageon the cluster is the same as CG100X software.
