How to Active 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 Fog Lights?

Car model and year: 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

Purpose: light up the fog lights that comes with the car.

Optional method:

1.Switch is built into the headlight switch. Wifes Durango same thing. I forget exactly but I think you have to have lights either in “auto” or at least “parking lights”. Push the switch down while in one of those positions should turn them on. Also should get an indication in dash that they are on. On Durango they are green and sort of upper left side. IF you dont have any luck, after the first of the year I’ll be back at work and see if I cant get a wire diagram copied for ya.

2.May have to go to dealer. I know somethings can be activated with a generic scan tool like ours at the school I work at. We use an Autel Pro 908 I think it is. Maybe depending on your auto parts store they can do it, depending on the scan tool they are using. The lights will probably be in the BCM (body module) and then in another folder in there. I activated my DLR

Question:

I called a dodge dealer and they said they have to do it but I also actually looked closer and they aren’t even wired in.

Reply:

So now you have to start wondering…. How come PO had the lights on, and never connected? Will your corrent light module “support” the fog lights or do you need a complete new module? $$$ more than likely you will need a harness from fog lights to headlight harness. Or you could just use a relay and wire them up by yourself and use a relay.

This may be the wire harness: 68046303AC
