Hextag ECU Read/Write Function Using Tricore Power Module

HexTag Programmer can read the ECU’s D-flash and P-flash in fraction of seconds which is faster compared to any tool in the market.

With the help of HexTag you can clone/tune a wide range of Ecus without opening the Ecu easily, you can get some important info like ISN from BMW Ecus as shown in the following parts.

Clone ECU MG1SC003 factory mode.

Open Microtronik HexProg version 1.0.18, click on “ECU cloning”, then “BMW”  -> “Bosch” -> then MG1CS003.

Click on “Writing”, then connect the original ECU as shown in the diagram.

Without opening ECU.

Click on “ECU Info”, HexTag shows some important info like ISN in BMW.

Initially we will make backup for both ECU for precaution.

Note that reading is extremely fast. We will speed up.

Now we connect the door ECU and make a “Backup”.

Click on “ECU info” then to read D-Flash.

Note that reading is extremely fast, we will speed up.

Now we will make a restore.

Writing P-FLASH, writing is slower than reading. Depends on flash contents.
