Today we’ll walk through the process about how to add a BMW G series BDC3 key using KEYDIY KD-MAX with BDC03 Special Dismantling-free Clip.
Tools Required:
- KD-MAX key programmer
- Keydiy BDC3 Specific Dismantling Clip
- Cable Series Cable (for BDC3 Clip to KD-MAX)
- New FGB Key (KEYDIY KD FGB57)
Procedure:
1.Prepare BDC3 Clip:
Begin by taking KEYDIY BDC03 specific dismantling clip.
Locate and turn on the four switches on the clip.
Ensure you note the correct wire definitions, as the four wires correspond sequentially to the clip’s pins.
- 01-Orange
- GND-Black
- VCC-Red
- 03-Brown
2.Connect Hardware:
Attach the dismantling clip securely to the back cover of the original car key.
Then, connect the Cable Series cable from BDC3 clip to your KD MAX programmer.
3.Initiate Cloning Process on KD–MAX:
Power on KD MAX key programmer and navigate through the following menu options:
- Remote Function -> Smart Key Clone
- BMW BDC3/BCP Smart Key Clone
- G Chassis/BDC3 Clone
- Confirm the prompts by clicking “OK.”
4.Read Original Key Data:
KD-MAX will now instruct you to read the data from the original key’s chip.
Click “Read Chip Data” and follow the on-screen prompts, clicking “OK” to proceed.
Save the file after reading chip data successfully
5.Program New FGB Key:
Place the new FGB57 key into the KDMAX‘s induction area.
Select “KD-FGB Type” and “KD-FGB remote”
6.Finalize Key:
After the process is complete, the system will confirm the successful programming.
You can now install the newly programmed PCB into the key case.
The key is ready for normal use.
