OBDSTAR ECU Master Tutorials: Read and Write IVECO EDC7UC31 ECU

Required Equipment:

PC running Windows 10 or higher
Stable DC Power Supply (12V–14V, 3A+ recommended)
OBDSTAR Bench Main Cable & Jumper Wires
10µF 25V non-polarized capacitor (required on GPT/line signals for communication stability)
OBDSTAR ECU Master Full Version or HD Truck & Tractor Configuration C)

Hardware Note: Modify the non-polarized capacitor setup using the method shown

Step-by-Step Bench Protocol:

System Setup:

Connect OBDSTAR ECU Master to your PC using the USB cable
Open the ECU Master PC software (ensure your software is updated to the latest release).
Software registration and update guide:

OBDSTAR ECU Master User Manual: Register / Software Download / Update

Vehicle Selection:

Navigate to ECU Flasher > HD > ECM > ECM V40.00

Search for edc7uc and select the IVECO profile

Mode Selection & Pinout:

Click Start, choose BENCH, and confirm with OK

Select Guide to review operating notes, then open Pinout to connect the wires :

- A-Pin 2 = 24V (16)
- A-Pin 6 = GND (4+5)
- A-Pin 40 = IG (11)
- A-Pin 89 = K-LINE (7)
- B-Pin 9 = GPT0
- B-Pin 23 = GPT1
Data Extraction:

Click Connect. Select Read EXT FLASH (M58BW016XB) and save the file

Next, select Read EXT EEPROM (95640) and save the original EEPROM file.

Donor ECU Writing:

Disconnect the original ECU and wire the donor ECU using the same pinout. Click Write EXT FLASH (M58BW016XB) and Write EXT EEPROM (95640) to upload the original files into the replacement unit
