Today, we’re demonstrating how to program smart keys for the 2022 Chery Tiggo 8 Plus with the Lonsdor K518 PRO key programmer.
We have two keys on hand: one is the original car key (has key shell), and the black one is the new key to be programmed.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Select IMMO &Remote
- Choose Chery→ Select by Type → PIN Code.
- Read the PIN code by selecting “Read PIN of Autonomous IMMO”.
- Pay attention to the on-screen note
The anti-theft authorization code is calculated based on the obtained vehicle VIN code. If the VIN code has been modified, the calculated authorization code will be incorrect.
Press [OK] to continue, and press [Cancel] to return.
- If the vehicle is asleep, wake it up by pressing the hazard lights, start button, or opening the doors.
- Once active, successfully read the PIN code.
- Key Programming
- Choose Chery→Select from vehicle-> Tiggo Series → Tiggo 8 Plus → Smart Key.
- Available options:
- Program New Key
- Program Old Key
- Delete Smart Key
- Reset Immobilizer
- First, delete all smart keys to clear the system.
The pin code is automatically filled in
- After deletion, the old key cannot start the car anymore.
- Programming New and Old Keys
- Select Program New Key.
- Place the original key into the sensing area (behind the glove box near the gear shifter).
- Click OK, and the original key programming will complete.
- Turn off the ignition.
- Next, place the new key into the sensing area and select Program New Key
- Click OK to finish programming the new key.
- Testing
- Test both the original and the newly programmed key:
- Lock and unlock the doors.
- Start the vehicle.
- Both keys worked perfectly after programming.
