Keydiy KD-X4 just got an awesome update. Previously, it could only change the ID of KD’s own 5C/5D keys. Now it can also modify the ID of original factory VAG MQB49 5C and 5D keys.
Key Details:
- Cost: 100 coins per modification of an original key ID.
- SFD lock: Not triggered.

Real test:
Did a 2021 VW ID.3 with an MQB49 5D key.
Changed the factory key ID for 100 coins — smooth sailing.
Used a second-hand OEM board from eBay, carefully split the case, glued it back together, and it looked brand new. No one would ever know. Rewriting the original board ID costs 100 coins, but the procedure was successful.

Comparison:
Modifying KD’s FGB remote ID requires 0 coins.
For wireless remote generation, KD-FGB remains the preferable option. Without KD solderless adapter, wired soldering on the original key is necessary.
Alternative Tools:
CGDI K2 Smart Key Tool and Yanhua ACDP2 will also support OEM 5C/5D key ID modification.
