Today we’ll walk through how to use APP2 APPRO2 to reset mileage on BMW G chassis BDC2 module.
Mileage reset:
Mileage reset is achieved by using the ECU data read out through preprocessing to erase the internal data of BDC2 and then reset it to 0 KM.
Main steps:
Step 1: Connect to vehicle
Step 2: Backup coding
Step 3: Pre-process module
Step 4: Reset mileage
Note: Step 1-3 are similar to adding key process. (Click here to learn more)
Start to perform mileage resetting process.
Select “Reset mileage”
Pay attention to the on-screen prompt:
This function will clear the BDC2 mileage data by resetting the module.
It may cause abnormal transmission synchronization, the anti-theft lock of the main unit to stop, and the loss of vehicle personalization, etc.
Confirm whether to continue the operation?
Click “OK” to continue
Load the GxxBdcData file
After loading, put the original key into the APPRO2 device coil, and click “OK” to read the original vehicle password.
Click “OK” to reset BDC module
Reset BDC mileage successfully
Reconnect the vehicle, if the coding data is error, go to restore coding.
Now the mileage is reset to 0 KM.
